MyVEBA Platform Questions
Is the MyVEBA portal different from the app?
The portal and app all have the same information and features, just on different platforms. The portal is a website that can be accessed on any browser. The new app can be downloaded on smartphone and tablets for quick, easy, on-the-go access.
No matter how you choose to access MyVEBA, you’ll be able to:
- Access your current health plan information
- Review the plan options available during your district/group’s Open Enrollment
- Contact the VEBA Advocacy Team

I have the older version of the VEBA mobile app. What now?
If you already have the older version of the VEBA mobile app downloaded, you will receive a pop-up message on the old version that will redirect you to download the new MyVEBA app. The older version of the VEBA app will soon be removed from app stores.
Is the MyVEBA portal mobile-friendly?
Yes, you can access the MyVEBA desktop portal on your mobile devices.

Who can access the MyVEBA portal/app?
California Schools VEBA members, their spouses, and dependents.
If you are a district/group Benefit Administrator, you can also reach out to your Account Manager, who can provide guest access.
I am a Benefit Administrator and I need MyVEBA access. Who can I contact?
Please contact your Account Manager – they can provide guest access.
How do I log in to MyVEBA?
MyVEBA portal:
- Click here to access the MyVEBA online portal.
- Click GET STARTED NOW (bottom right screen).
- Enter your last name, the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number, and your date of birth.
MyVEBA app:
- Install the MyVEBA app on the Apple App Store (iPhone/iPad) or the Google Play Store (Android)
- Enter myveba.org as the website domain for security purposes.
- Enter your last name, the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number, and your date of birth.
After your first log-in, your information will be saved for easy access going forward.
I received an error message/my information was not found. What can I do?

Your MyVEBA login credentials are pulled from the data stored in ARES – the secure VEBA online portal that houses health benefit plan information specific to each VEBA member.
After verifying your identity for security purposes, the VEBA Advocacy Team can provide your login information as it shows in ARES and assist you with any other questions you may have.

What type of information will I find on MyVEBA?
MyVEBA helps you connect with key VEBA benefits/resources and important information, like:
- Your current elected health plan(s)
- Plan options during Open Enrollment
- Optum Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Kindbody: your new fertility and menopause support benefits
- Summary of Benefits
- The VEBA Advocacy Team
- VRC class and event calendar
- Healthy recipes
- And more!
On the MyVEBA app, you can also upload your medical and dental ID cards for on-the-go use with your provider or pharmacy.
Can I see what health plan options my district/group is offering during the upcoming Open Enrollment?
Yes, when you log in, simply select the VEBA Health Benefit Plans button.
Please note: plan options for the upcoming Open Enrollment will be available once your district/group makes its final selection. If you only see the past year’s plan options, please check back as we update these options regularly during Open Enrollment.
Can I access the VRC class and event calendar on the MyVEBA app?
Yes, you can view and book VRC classes and events on the MyVEBA app.
ARES Questions
What is ARES?
ARESOnline (or “ARES” for short) is the VEBA member online portal that securely hosts health benefit plan information specific to each VEBA member.
What is the difference between ARES and MyVEBA?
MyVEBA provides an overview of all the plan options your district has available for employees. This is the primary source for members to access during their Open Enrollment period or any time during the year.
ARES is provided to members and will show benefit plans the member currently has.
Are my login credentials the same for ARES and MyVEBA?
No, ARES requires a member PIN and password. You can look up your member PIN/password and log into ARES here. Your login credentials for the MyVEBA portal/app are your last name, the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number, and your date of birth.
